MO St. Rep. Michael Davis Proposes Legislation to Restore Firearm Rights for Non-Violent Felons

Today, Missouri State Representative Michael Davis (R-Kansas City) filed House Bill 895, which "changes the offense of unlawful possession of a firearm by allowing persons who have completed their sentence for a nonviolent felony to possess firearms".

This bill comes at a time where Republicans in the General Assembly continue to advance a variety of pro-2nd Amendment legislation. Notably, Missouri State Representative Nick Schroer (R-St. Charles) has filed House Bill 501 to prevent the disclosure of information of medical marijuana cardholders to federal agencies.
